Stanley B. Levy, M.D.

Born in New York City, Dr. Levy did his undergraduate work at Queen's College, City University of New York and graduated from Georgetown University School of Medicine where he also did his medical internship. He spent two years in the Public Health Service and three years in residency training in dermatology at Duke University.

Dr. Levy has been in private practice in Chapel Hill for twenty-four years. He is an Adjunct Clinical Professor of Dermatology at the University of North Carolina School of Medicine and a Clinical Associate in Medicine at Duke University Medical Center. In addition, Dr. Levy has been Director of Medical Affairs for Almay Cosmetics for eighteen years. For the last nine years, he has also served in that capacity for the Revlon Research Center. Dr. Levy was vice-president of the first physician administered managed care program in North Carolina and has served as President of the North Carolina Dermatology Association.

Dr. Levy has a special interest in the safety and efficacy of cosmetic, skin care and sunscreen products and is the author of over 20 publications in this area. He has lectured nationally and internationally on these topics.

Dr. Levy’s interests include travelling, reading, listening to music, and playing the saxaphone. Dr. Levy and his wife have raised two children in Chapel Hill and have been active in a variety of local organizations.
